At Europort, learn why companies are taking SSI Certified Training
De Naval and Velivola, two of the six companies making up the Adriatic Engineering Services Group (AES, Rijeka, Croatia) have invested in their staff completing SSI’s Certified Training regarding using SSI’s ShipConstructor software. Multiple staff members have already been trained at Professional and Specialist level designations and there is a constant commitment by the company to ongoing training.
Recent staff certified include: (picture above, left to right) Tomislav Mirkovic, Boris Tomak, João Estevens, Ivan Czerny, Suzana Fickovic, Franko Kucan, Toni Kovacic, Zoran Gulic and Ljubomir Puhalo.
How they did it
To achieve certification, the students followed SSI’s standardized curriculum which includes the latest version of ShipConstructor, pdf lesson plans, and a realistic training project in which to complete hands-on exercises which were submitted to SSI for verification. For the most part, they were able to train themselves independently, though support was available from Nick Danese of NDAR, SSI’s Senior Partner for Europe, the Middle East and Near Asia.

Flexibility
The method of learning pursued by AES is a great example of how SSI is committed to flexible delivery options for training. This flexibility will soon be increased by the imminent release of SSI Learning which will provide options for online training (including videos), in-person classes, remote assistance and/or some other combination that best suits clients’ needs.
