SSI Introduces EnterprisePlatform PublisherLT
Highly skilled naval architects, marine engineers and draftsmen should be focused on tasks where they can add maximum value consistent with their training and expertise: designing, engineering and drafting. Spending large amounts of time finding, formatting and exporting information for use in engineering or for other departments is not an efficient use of valuable human resources. To solve this problem, SSI (makers of ShipConstructor CAD/CAM software) has introduced PublisherLT, the first application in its new line of EnterprisePlatform software products.

SSI (formerly ShipConstructor Software Inc.) will be making significant changes coinciding with the upcoming release of ShipConstructor 2015 (targeted for release in July 2014). These changes are primarily internal, streamlining the delivery of our products and services, and will be largely invisible to our clients. However clients will experience some peripheral effects of these changes.
ShipConstructor 2014 R2.1, released today from SSI, has been specifically designed to rapidly respond to emerging trends in ship design and engineering as identified by SSI’s innovative new Client Council program.
SSI has written a new paper about how the shipbuilding industry can leverage engineering information to increase productivity and quality in the design office as well as in the shipyard. The paper will be presented at the May 12-14, 2014 Conference on Computer Applications and Information Technology in the Maritime Industries (COMPIT), held at Redworth, UK.
SSI and its representatives continue to engage with leaders of the shipbuilding and offshore industry to help increase productivity and solve business challenges. On April 23, Sincronia, SSI’s representative for ShipConstructor software in Brazil, is sponsoring the first seminar focused on the shipbuilding and offshore construction cluster in the state of Pernambuco.
