Use project data from any source

Incorporate new and existing design packages into your existing workflows, while gaining an integrated environment to manage all of your projects.

Don’t let the design package disrupt your shipyard

Shipbuilders and design agents are being asked to deliver vessels faster, often by starting from proven or third-party vessel designs.

Increased risk

Uncertainty around the change required.

More disruption

Tools that assume you’re starting from scratch.

Additional rework

A practical way to work with any design

Whether you need a quick way to manage information, modify aspects of a project, or convert a project to support existing processes. SSI gives shipbuilders and design agents a flexible, incremental way to work with project information from any source. Whether the need is a quick way to manage the information, modify aspects of the project, or convert the project to support all your existing processes, SSI gives teams a practical way to deliver vessels faster.

Options to support project objectives

SSI gives shipbuilders a flexible, incremental way to work with models from any source.

Keep what works. Extend where needed.

Easily reference, manage revisions and configurations, make comments, and collaborate on project data
no matter the source – including Cadmatic, AVEVA Marine, Foran, or SSI ShipConstructor.

  • Part BOMs and properties
  • Structural hierarchy
  • Associated deliverables, documents, or specifications
  • Geometric visualizations of parts, assemblies, or compartments

For an existing design package, get working quickly and change a system, update equipment, or modify a section of the vessel.

Convert the full model into SSI and run it using your workflows, automation, and production processes.

Austal builds Australia’s landing craft heavy

Austal, an SSI client since 2004, is building Australia’s Landing Craft Heavy based on the Damen Naval Landing Ship Transport 100-class design. The Damen LST100 design was not originally created in the SSI solution.
