ShipConstructor 2017 R2 Release: Enhanced Review and HVAC
SSI has released a new version of its flagship AutoCAD based CAD/CAM application: ShipConstructor 2017 R2. This release streamlines reviews and planning and provides dramatic productivity increases in HVAC modeling.
New HVAC Elbows
Two new ShipConstructor HVAC stock parts: Inlet and Vane Turn Elbows have been added. With these enhanced software representations of realistic HVAC parts, there are now greater choices and increased efficiency and flexibility when modeling, generating production output and creating reports.
Enhanced Review and Planning
Product Hierarchy User Defined Attributes (UDAs) inherited by Structure parts are now visible in AutoCAD Properties. This means that they can be exported to Autodesk Navisworks for review or for sharing drawings with people who do not have access to the original Product Hierarchy tree. The benefit of this is that users can now more easily identify groups of structural parts. That makes reviews, material movement and planning for steel cutting much easier.
