This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes the personal information that ShipConstructor Software Inc. dba SSI (“SSI”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects from or about you when you use our website, services or products, or participate in our events, how we use that information, and to whom we disclose it. “Personal information” means information about an identifiable individual, and does not include general, statistical or aggregated information. For the purposes of this Policy, “personal information” also does not include business contact information that SSI uses solely for the purpose of communicating or facilitating communication with an individual in relation to that individual’s employment, business or profession. Examples of personal information that we may collect, use and disclose include your name and address, your billing and credit card information, and other information that you may provide to us in conjunction with your use of our website, products or services, or participation in our events.

- Engage our services for software development projects

The source of the contact data is you and/or your employer. If you log into our website using a social media account, we will obtain elements of the contact data from the relevant social media account provider.

Data may include your account identifier, name, email address, business name, account creation and modification dates, website settings and marketing preferences. The primary source of the account data is you and/or your employer, although some elements of the account data may be generated by our website.
Transaction Data
Information relating to transactions, including purchases of licenses and/or services, that you enter with us and/or through our partners or website. The transaction data may include your name, your contact details, your payment card details (or other payment details) and the transaction details. The source of the transaction data is you, your employer and/or our payment services provider.
Communication and Usage Data
Information contained in or relating to any communication that you send to us or that we send
to you. The communication data may include the communication content and metadata
associated with the communication. Our website will generate the metadata associated with
communications made using the website contact forms. Data about your use of our web
resources and services (“usage data”). The data may include your IP address, geographical
location, browser type and version, operating system, referral source, length of visit, page views
and website navigation paths, as well as information about the timing, frequency and pattern of
your service use. The source of the usage data is our analytics tracking system.
If you provide comments or other feedback to us, you agree that such comments or other
feedback become the property of SSI Inc., and we may use and disclose them for any purpose
provided that we do not associate them with your personally identifiable information.
Project Data
In the course of providing support or professional services, we may collect and store data related
to your projects (“Project Data”). This may include:

- Project data including drawings, files and databases
Cookies and Web Beacons
A “cookie” is a small piece of information stored on your computer by a web page. It is used to identify you to the web server. The hosting facilities for our website and services are situated in Canada. The competent data protection authorities have made an adequacy determination with respect to the data protection laws of Canada.
Suppliers, subcontractors and Partners are situated in countries across North America, Europe and Asia. The competent data protection authorities have made an adequacy determination with respect to the data protection laws of each of these countries. Transfers to each of these countries will be protected by appropriate safeguards, namely the use of standard data protection clauses adopted or approved by the competent data protection authorities.
Subject to certain restrictions, SSI may also use and disclose your personal information without your knowledge or consent where necessary in connection with a proposed or completed business transaction. In each such case, SSI and the other part(ies) to the transaction or proposed transaction will enter into an agreement limiting the purposes for which the personal information may be used and disclosed, ensuring its protection by means appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, and providing for the return or destruction of the information if the transaction does not proceed, or if the transaction does proceed, to notify you within a reasonable time that your personal information has been disclosed.
You acknowledge that personal data that you or your employer submits with consent for publication through our website or services may be available, via the internet, around the world. We cannot prevent the use (or misuse) of such personal data by others.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and we will notify you of significant changes via email or through a notice on our website.
10.0 Minor
Minors (persons under the age of 19 in British Columbia; although the age of majority may vary in other jurisdictions) are not eligible to use the website or any application unsupervised, and we request that minors do not submit any personal information to us. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the application or website in conjunction with and under the supervision of an adult. SSI does not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

You agree that your access to and use of the SSI website, including this Policy, is governed exclusively by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein (excluding conflicts or choice of laws principles).
