» Client Success Technical Specialist

We are looking for an individual to join our Client Success team. Client Success’ primary responsibility is for providing clients with front line technical support as well as educating clients to ShipConstructor new features and best practices.

Working within the Client Success team, you will champion efforts to understand and resolve problems clients may report when using ShipConstructor software. You will also analyze customer trends and problem reports, author and publish ShipConstructor Knowledge Base articles, compose and produce short videos that explain and clarify best practices, troubleshooting, and how to articles, as well as prepare and support webinars, social media, and any other method which can be used to connect with SSI’s end users

Requirements:
• Ability to analyze and document operational processes and apply technology and business knowledge to solve business problems.
• Demonstrated experience with various software applications.
• Demonstrated experience in technical writing.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal over the phone and face to face, and written).
• The ability to work effectively with people in stressful situations and maintain positive customer relations.
• The ability to work with people from various backgrounds and cultures.
• A demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and organize multiple simultaneous tasks.
• 1-2 years’ experience in a technical customer support role.
• Fluent in English.
• Canadian Citizen.

Preferred Experience:
• Experience with AutoCAD and other CAD systems.
• Post-secondary education in a technology related field.
• Demonstrated experience in developing informal and formal technical 'how to' video demonstrations.
• Demonstrated xperience in presenting online webinars to a technical audience.
• Proven experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques.
• Experience with Atlassian JIRA.
• Experience with Agile development (Scrum and Kanban).
• 1-2 years of real-world technical/mechanical experience.

 Client Success Software Developer

We are looking for an individual to join our Client Success team. Client Success’ primary responsibility is for providing clients with front line technical support.

Working within the Client Success team, you will exercise and expand your software development and debugging ability as you champion efforts to understand, reproduce and identify the root causes to problems clients may report when using ShipConstructor software. You will also be given the opportunity to develop prototype solutions to these problems in the ShipConstructor code base, as well as work on other smaller software tools and projects used internally and by SSI clients and dealers. Additional responsibilities may also include: analyzing customer trends and problem reports, authoring and publishing ShipConstructor Knowledge Base articles, composing and producing short videos that explain and clarify best practices, troubleshooting and how-to articles, as well as preparing and supporting webinars, social media, and any other method which can be used to connect with SSI’s end users.

Requirements:
• 2-3 years development experience with C# or C++, preferably in a Microsoft Visual Studio environment.
• Demonstrated experience in software development, testing and debugging
• Proven experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques.
• Hands on experience working in integrated development environments, such as Visual Studio.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• The ability to work effectively with people in stressful situations and maintain positive customer relations
• The ability to work with people from various backgrounds and cultures
• A demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and organize multiple simultaneous tasks
• Fluent in English
• Canadian Citizen (must be born in Canada to satisfy security requirements of clients)

Preferred Experience:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or completion of a post-secondary Diploma in Computer Science or 5 years of equivalent work experience.
• Working technical knowledge of programming languages and relational databases, including .Net, Microsoft SQL, and the SharePoint platform.
• Experience with AutoCAD and other CAD systems
• Experience with Atlassian JIRA
• Experience with Agile development (Scrum and Kanban)
• 1-2 years of real-world technical/mechanical experience

 Project Consultant

We are looking for an individual to join our USA team. As a SSI Project Consultant you will be responsible for leading and completing large-scale, client-driven projects. Communicating with clients and customers to determine their needs or requirements. Map, develop, design, and implement improved business processes or solutions to meet consumer needs and expectations. You will have the opportunity for regular travel to client sites, conferences and industry events.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Process Engineering, 
• Experience with a function modeling methodology (i.e. IDEF0) for describing manufacturing workflows
• Experience mapping processes and employing process improvement strategies
• Demonstrated aptitude for software integration and technology 
• Demonstrated ability to work independently towards high level objectives
• Experience in managing and successfully completing client driven projects
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation) 
• The ability to work effectively in stressful situations and maintain positive client relations 
• The ability to work with people from various backgrounds and cultures
• A demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks
• Must be a U.S. citizen
• Fluent in English
• Requirement for travel throughout the USA

Asset Experience:
• Professional experience in shipbuilding, manufacturing or a similar industry
• Experience with AutoCAD and other CAD systems
• Naval Architecture or related discipline
• Hands on experience in a Project Management role
• Experience with ShipConstructor Software

Compensation:
SSI offers a competitive salary in the range of $60K – $70K per annum; commensurate with skills and experience, a full benefit package and a bonus/incentive program. Interested candidates should apply HERE.
