» Technical Solutions Specialist

SSI is looking for an experienced individual to join their Sales and Marketing team as a Technical Support Specialist. Ideally located in Victoria, BC, qualified candidates may also have the opportunity to work remotely throughout North America. Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Manager, the purpose of this role is to ensure that clients effectively adopt and implement the full use of any software they have related to SSI’s solution. This involves assisting Dealers in securing training and contract services with potential, new, and existing SSI clients, to ensure the smooth implementation of the SSI Product line.

Specifically, day-to-day duties may include:
• Reviewing and assessing client progress and offering recommendations;
• Providing market information to the Product Management Team as it relates to current trends, best practices, and client requirements specifically for strategic accounts;
• Encouraging greater adoption of all SSI products with existing clients, developing strategic direction for success, including promoting and encouraging clients to invest in Software Training contracts and Software Integration and Consulting;
• Assisting in capturing, documenting, and developing best practices and methodologies for use with clients;
• Working with clients to manage risks associated with migration and integration of other software packages; and
• Working with SSI Corporate Sales and Marketing staff to promote the gathering of marketing materials reflecting client success.

To be considered for this opportunity, it is essential that you have previous experience in the use, management, and implementation of engineering software, preferably ShipConstructor software. You will also understand and demonstrate the value of the Autodesk product line as it relates to a total SSI solution.

In addition, the ideal candidate will also have: 
• A bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, and/or Computer Engineering or Computer Science; 
• Three (3) years experience working with clients on implementation of software programs and integration with other systems, and meeting client success needs and specific pain points; and 
• The ability to travel and work on-site at various shipyards and design offices worldwide

Upon joining SSI, the successful candidate will receive a competitive base salary of $70,000 - $80,000 per annum, plus great employee benefits including:

» Strategic Account Executive

SSI currently has a rare opportunity for a Strategic Account Executive to join their Sales and Marketing team. Ideally located in Victoria, BC, qualified candidates may also have the opportunity to work remotely throughout North America. Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Manager, your primary role will be to promote, support, and secure the sale of SSI products and services for strategic accounts, and manage major expansion of clients’ software base.

Daily Responsibilities will include:
• Identifying, tracking, and following-up on strategic accounts, plus establishing new accounts and expanding new products;
• Assisting the Dealers in establishing and maintaining detailed and updated opportunity matrixes for each target account;
• Achieving sales quotas as agreed upon with Dealers and Sales and Marketing Managers;
• Working with the Marketing Department to develop and implement lead generation activities or promotions designed to attract strategic accounts;
• Planning, organizing, and executing targeted account visits and road shows as with local Dealers;
• Assisting in capturing, documenting, and developing best practice sales methodologies for all strategic accounts; 
• Liaising with the Dealers to aid in the development of point of purchase material and marketing of current and new products; and 
• Attending targeted trade shows and industry-related sales and networking events.

This role is well suited to someone with previous Shipbuilding experience and a proven track record of sales success. In addition, the ideal candidate will also have: 
• A bachelor's degree in a technical field of study or a Certified Sales Professional designation (or equivalent experience);
• Five (5) years software sales experience, ideally engineering or manufacturing software solutions; 
• The ability to meet or exceed individual sales targets on a consistent basis; and 
• The ability to travel globally (up to 2 weeks per month) on an ongoing basis
