Moving information throughout a shipyard is unavoidable in a modern shipbuilding organization. But with a huge number of platforms, information sources, parts, and relationships created throughout the lifecycle, even when a connection can be made, it’s difficult to obtain any real insight.
What are the keys to effectively integrating disparate shipbuilding platforms and managing shipbuilding information? How can we allow the entire organization to more insight from our existing sources?
Join us at PI Marine EU 2020 in Hamburg on January 20th and 21st to see how first-hand from SSI co-CEO Denis Morais and NDAR CEO Nick Danese.
Focus Group: Is Shipbuilding Ready for a Digital Transformation?
Room 3 – 9:55, January 21th, 2020
Speak to any shipbuilding executive and they will tell you the biggest impact on the future of their business is technology. Implementing new technologies is often called a Digital Transformation, but what does that really involve, and how will it impact the business of shipbuilding? Is shipbuilding even ready for such a shift?
This focus group is the first step towards understanding how we can move beyond theory and instead start taking incremental and concrete steps towards starting our transformations, determining what is slowing us down, and experiencing what a successful transformation looks like.
