In this demonstration, we will import an initial design model into ShipConstructor and prepare to model the basic design.
The shipbuilding industry has several well-known naval architecture packages for defining the hull form including Maxsurf, Rhino and Orca 3D, Napa, and Paramarine. These tools produce different surface qualities and metadata. It is important that we can reuse this information when progressing through the design phases.
