Pre-requisites for SSI Training
- Competent computer skills, understanding how to install and setup a software installation on a Windows 10 or 11 workstation (English-only).
- Valid AutoCAD license and installation compatible with ShipConstructor version.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and CAD/CAM systems.
Minimum System Requirements
- Computer specifications that meet the minimum requirements for AutoCAD (as such will be sufficient for ShipConstructor training purposes).

What is included with SSI Training
- Access to SSI Training:
- Is a benefit of subscription.
- Is included with an active trial for individuals, with limitations (see below).
- SSI Training Software and Downloads
- The latest SSI release installer.
- Downloads for all SSI Training curricula PDFs.
- Access to the SSI Training video library on Nexus.
- SSI Training Project compatible with the latest release.
- SSI Verifier software for checking the results of the work performed.
- Installation and setup:
- Training Support does not include assistance with software installation and training project setup.
- Trainee’s must make use of the installation guides and videos that are provided, which have been well tested and proven reliable.
- Training Support requests:
- All training support requests must be initiated via the available online form (requests by email will be ignored).
- No phone call or live video support is provided – all requests for training support must make use of the online forms provided. SSI will contact you if such interaction is concluded to be necessary.
- Verifier submissions for certification:
- Users with active subscription, or trial, may be certified for any course they successfully complete within the trial period.
- SSI Certified Training Professional and Specialist certifications are only available to trainee’s with an active SSI subscription.
- Verifier failures:
- Training Support does not include investigating the work performed for Verifier failures, and is limited to investigation for Verifier defect. If no defect is determined, trainee’s are directed to redo the work, and recommended to closely follow the instructions.
- Trainee’s are required to redo the work that is leading to a Verifier failure before contacting Training Support. In most cases, redoing the exercise, and following the detailed exercise instructions will result in success.
- Expired subscription or trials:
- Training Trials are valid for 60 days
- In the event a subscription or trial has expired, access to SSI Training resources is no longer provided.
- In the event a trial has expired before completing course work, SSI is prepared to extend the trial one-time for 30-days.
