We sit down above deck with Jean-Marc Le Roux. Jean-Marc is a software engineer, CEO and founder of Aerys, the company that develops SmartShape. The smart digital twin was a primary topic. As acting project manager, he also supervised the implementation of SmartShape at Chantiers de l’Atlantique (on multiple use cases such as piping, hull, electrical engineering) and Bureau Veritas.

In our interview, we asked him about the smart Digital Twin, if shipbuilding was lagging behind, and the uses of machine learning and AI within our industry.
