With the release of the SSI 2021 R2 version of ShipConstructor, we are making available the new “Lock Manager” feature that will allow for administrator level control of model and production drawings.

Previously, while it was possible to lock drawing files from Navigator by making them read-only, this control was relatively easy to circumvent and did not provide database level control of project drawings.

Now, using the new Lock Manager, users can select individual or multiple drawings, or even all drawings in a unit to be locked and unlocked.
