In the wake of SSI’s successful presentation at the Seawork International Workboat Exhibition in the UK on June 13, 2017, SSI is excited to announce that an exhibitor at the show, Strategic Marine Vietnam has now extended its ShipConstructor software subscriptions. At the Seawork show, Strategic Marine unveiled its latest designs for offshore windfarm support vessels: the StratCAT30 and StratCAT38. The two new designs are being launched to build on the success Strategic Marine has had with the previous StratCAT26.
These vessels are for wind farm service operators who want to leave their crews at sea for longer periods of time, work farther offshore and operate in higher sea states. The innovative designs enable the vessels to withstand rougher waters at sea with increased time offshore while continuing to ensure safe crew transfers.
Both vessels are the result of a collaboration with another SSI client, BMT Nigel Gee, a major naval architecture and marine engineering design based in Southampton.
