We just finished our SSI America’s User Conference in beautiful Mobile, Alabama. It was an awesome event as usual and exhausting in a good way! There were so many great presentations from SSI that focused on how our users are maximizing SSI products today. There were also some presentations from our partners, showing the blurred lines between where SSI ends, and their solutions begin. It was awesome to see the seamless workflows between our products, which is exactly the vision we had to showcase the true power of a truly open software architecture.
I really enjoyed the keynotes from Terry Walley from Ingalls and Leonard Pecore from Genoa Design, which I felt were perfectly crafted to be thought provoking. Thinking about how we will continue (or start for some) to innovate in the future by incorporating all the key ingredients, such as technology, processes, communication, culture and our most important assets; our people.
The customer presentations from Sonny Mardis from Trinity Marine and Tom Perrine from Austal were exceptional and it was nice to be reminded of the many great things they are doing with SSI products. I enjoyed seeing how our products can solve some diverse challenges and needs from clients that have different, yet equally complicated challenges.
The third day was focused more on technologies, which some might be considered “future” technology. However, it was clearly shown that these are not only future technologies, they are the NOW technologies.
There were so many other great presentations, and I do not believe I can give them justice by only writing a short snippet of each presentation. However, I do want to share that you can get access to all the presentations here. We will upload the videos of the presentations in the coming weeks to allow all of you who did not attend the opportunity to learn something new. This is only a piece of the benefits of attending, because the real value is in networking with other users, as well as meeting the SSI team!
If you are interested in the topics covered, you can access the agenda here.
I did talk about the evolution of SSI and the future vision we are and have been moving towards for a while. I also publicly announced some of our up-and-coming products for the very first time. I will keep you in suspense for a little longer, as I will write a follow-up blog post related to my presentation in the coming weeks. For now, I thought I would at least share you the location of the presentations in case anyone is looking for some light, but interesting Friday reading.
Show Reel of Each Day
