As a member of the US National Shipbuilding Research Program (NSRP), SSI helps advance the technology shipbuilders rely on. This week, the NSRP held an All Panel Meeting in Charleston, South Carolina which SSI attended. SSI’s co-CEO, Denis Morais, and SSI USA’s Patrick Roberts and Patrick David were there presenting, hosting panels, and running workshops.
Patrick David updated the Business Technologies Panel on the progress of both LiftShip, a project intended to streamline FE mesh generation, analysis, and the creation of lifting arrangement drawings, and ShipScan, which aims to improve 3D laser scanning processes for shipbuilding.
Patrick Roberts co-hosted the Wrap Up discussion for the Business Technologies Panel, and ran a Mini Workshop showcasing the latest advancements made in the LiftShip workflow.
